Testimonial by Jorene 2014
June 2013, that was the first time I step into Wayne Jones Eduhouse. Having Wayne as my first ever tutor, I thought it would just be like any other tuition I heard from my peers, where tuition is a place where they teach ahead of school and they do not really care if you improved much or not. However, after having to join Wayne amath class for one and a half year, and also physics class for a year, I improved my results from F9 to a distinction and D7 to a distinction at olevel levels respectively. Even though I only attended Wayne's amath class, he also give us emath practice papers to do during our revision period! Wayne, being a teacher and also a friend, is always concerned about our results and our progress in school. Also, he always had his lessons planned ahead and his lessons isn't about the duration but about what we have to complete. As long as we finish what we are suppose to do, he would let us have our free time to continue with our homework or even let us off earlier knowing that we already endured one whole day of school. WJE is also a very conducive place for us to study. During exam periods, he would open up the place for us so that we can go up and study, and always be there to help us when we face problems. Wayne also put in a lot effort in preparing the materials for his students like creating a conducive place to attend lessons, the bookmarks which consist of all the formula (it's very useful!) and creating test for his students to do after every lesson. Also, he created "hunger games" which is a full paper test at WJE where it helps us find out our standards across the class before taking olevels. My experience at WJE was definitely a great and enjoyable one, and I'm sure it left a deep impression for all the students who attended WJE before. Lastly, I would like to say, thankyou Wayne! (:

I used to be a straight F9 student for amath, and the teachers in school would always advise me to drop the subject. I was on the verge of dropping it, until i found wje. i joined the class mid term in sec 3, and by then the class had already covered a lot of topics and i was seriously lagging behind. However, wayne patiently coached me through every lesson, making sure that i was catching up well. After a month, my results improved and i finally passed amath.
what i feel that is unique about wayne as compared to other tutors out there, is that no other tutor would be as down to earth, as patient and as committed to his students as wayne is to us. his dedication, the tremendous amount of effort he puts into creating tests for us every week and compiling notes for us for every chapter, and his willingness to go the extra mile to make sure students really understood what he is teaching makes him the BEST tutor i have ever had. His constant encouragement and him constantly pushing his students to do their best really motivated us to work even hard as you could see that wayne genuinely wanted us to do well.
His coaching and explanations are also crisp and clear, which enable students to grasp concepts easily and the mini tests every week really help students to make sure that they thoroughly understand what is being taught to them during the lesson. I have always disliked math and thought that it was the most difficult subject ever, but wayne showed me that learning math could be so much fun and math isn't so hard after all. So after all these years of hating math, i can now proudly say that because of going to wje, i like math.
From F9 to an A2 in my O's, I am truly grateful and thankful to wayne for everything he has done for me and choosing to go to wayne's is probably the best decision i have made. With wayne's teaching and yourself putting in consistent effort and hard work, achieving a distinction at the end of the day isn't as impossible as you think it seems. :-)
